Mount Zion Baptist Church is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team. This individual will develop, manage, and maintain reliable accounting information; assist with reporting income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and capital for management planning, decision making, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that financial statements are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Manage all aspects of the month-end close process, including ensuring the accuracy of journal entries and General Ledger reconciliations.
- Support the timely completion of quarterly reviews and year-end audit procedures performed by external auditors. Prepare and review related supporting schedules and documentation as required.
- Ensure that department budgets are submitted in line with the organization’s requirements and deadlines and assist with the preparation of the annual budget.
- Support the organization with special projects and workflow process improvement.
- Review and evaluate organization policies and procedures for accounting and reporting systems and make recommendations to strengthen them as needed.
- Assist with analyzing monthly departmental and organizational forecasts.
- Other duties and projects as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant
- 10+ years’ experience with a strong focus on month end close and accounting processes; experience in non-profit accounting is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of current accounting practices and principles
- Prior experience as an Accounting Manager with a non-profit (preferred but not required) or 2+ years in a supervisory role with demonstrated ability to lead, manage an accounting team, and drive continuous process improvement.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, including task prioritization and effective time management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough knowledge and experience with Sage Intacct, Peachtree, and Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on Excel and Power Point
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience in banking, financial services, or other related fields is a plus.
- Knowledge of and experience in working in common banking practices.
- Ability to display strong leadership qualities while managing competing work demands.

The Computer Operator is responsible for the operation and management of ProPresenter, multimedia presentation software used during church services and events. This role plays a critical part in enhancing the worship experience by ensuring seamless visual presentations and live streaming.
RESPONSIBILITIES
ProPresenter Operation
- Operate ProPresenter software during church services, rehearsals, and special events.
- Create and manage multimedia presentations, including song lyrics, sermon slides, and videos.
- Ensure smooth transitions between slides and media elements.
Media Management
- Organize and maintain media libraries, including worship songs, videos, images, and graphics.
- Coordinate with worship leaders and pastors to ensure all media elements are prepared and loaded into ProPresenter.
Live Streaming Support
- Assist in live-streaming church services and events using ProPresenter.
- Coordinate with the technical team to ensure audio and video integration
Technical Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ProPresenter software and hardware.
- Collaborate with the technical team to address connectivity and compatibility issues.
Service Coordination
- Attend rehearsals and production meetings (as scheduled) to understand the flow of each service or event.
- Coordinate cues and transitions with the worship team and other production personnel.
Backup and Data Security
- Implement regular backups of ProPresenter data and media files.
- Ensure data security and integrity.
Training and Development
- Train and support volunteers or team members who assist with ProPresenter operation when appropriate.
- Remain updated on ProPresenter and all production software updates and enhancements.
Working Conditions
- This position primarily involves working during church services, rehearsals, and special events.
- May require standing or sitting for extended periods and operating computer equipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating ProPresenter software or similar multimedia presentation tools is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to adapt to changes and make quick decisions during live events.

The Mount Zion Facility Clean Team Member is responsible for all basic cleaning in and around the facility or office building. This can entail dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning smudges off windows and doors. Ensuring restrooms are cleaned, sanitized, and restocked.
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks, special projects, and church events
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Make adjustments and minor repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience in housekeeping and hospitality
- Ability to handle heavy equipment up to 50 lbs
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Reliable transportation and flexible schedule

Qualifications:

Youth Pastor, High School is responsible for the growth, care, and biblical education of our teens ranging from grades 9-12. They are to ensure a professional, safe, and effective operation of our High School Youth ministry program.
The Youth Pastor will lead lessons of God’s Love, God’s Word, and Fellowship with the teens. It is our goal to lay a foundation that will keep teens not only interested in coming to church but develop a lifelong understanding of what it means to be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. The most essential function of the Youth Pastor, High School is to continue to grow in his or her own relationship with Jesus Christ through personal devotions, bible study, fellowship, and service. They should exhibit the qualities from I Timothy 3:1-7, and manage all activities, programs, curriculum, budgets, and staff for the High School Youth Group.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISBILITIES: include, but are not limited to, the following:
Spiritual Leadership:
- Provide spiritual leadership and guidance to high school students within the congregation.
- Preach and teach biblical messages relevant to the needs and challenges of college-age and young adults.
- Encourage the youth and help them in the development of a personal relationship with God.
- Support and participate in church worship services.
- Expand and enrich the program by creating appropriate services and programs, on-campus Bible studies, sharing groups, and fellowship events.
- Provide a metric-based system of support and guidance for the students as they mature in their faith.
- Represent the church by serving on appropriate committees of the denomination and organizations in the community.
- Curates’ appropriate social media content and actively communicates with teams, participants, and members.
Discipleship and Education:
- Mentor and disciple, the teens individually or in small groups.
- Equip them with the knowledge and tools to apply their faith in daily life.
Community Engagement:
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where local youth (member and guests) can connect with one another.
- Organize and promote social events, outings, and community service activities.
- Foster a sense of belonging and community within the church.
- Develop service and mission projects for youth to grow in service to the Lord!
- Communicate program plans with parents through regular mailings and/or parent groups.
- Attend local Student functions at High School and home school events while developing relationships within the education community.
Outreach and Evangelism:
- Develop strategies for discipling youth within the local community who may not be affiliated with the church.
- Engage in evangelistic efforts to share the Christian faith with non-believing youth.
- Plan and coordinate camps, conferences, retreats, and trips
Collaboration and Leadership:
- Collaborate with other church leaders, such as the Senior Pastor, Pastor of College Ministry, and worship leaders, to ensure a comprehensive approach to ministry.
- Preserve the culture of the program by encouraging teamwork and mutual support, providing leadership and nurture to members who work in the department.
- Attend staff meetings and retreats and participate in the church’s overall vision and mission.
- Recruit, train and equip key people to work as High school advisors.
- Meet regularly with lay leadership for team building and planning purposes.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage the budget and resources allocated to the Youth Ministry (Teens)
- Establish goals and objectives by prioritizing related programs, managing the use of facilities, planning an appropriate budget, delegating tasks, and evaluating progress regularly.
- Maintain records of attendance, membership, and program participation.
- Utilizes church systems and databases for metrics, registrations, attendance, and student information.
- Serves as a liaison between the Bishop and the High School students of the church.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

All shuttle bus drivers will be responsible for shuttle bus transportation services for Mount Zion Baptist Church members and visitors for weekly Sunday Services, special events, and park-and-ride operations. Provide prompt, safe, and courteous transportation from residential location to church campus.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Greets each passenger/congregant with hospitality; offering to assist with any personal belongings, walkers, wheelchairs, and other necessary reasonable accommodations
- Follows all established procedures for Shuttle Drivers, including pre-trip inspections, designated routes, accurate record-keeping, and regular, effective radio communication.
- Maintains accurate familiarity with weekly and Sunday services route schedules
- Responsible for a visual check of the inside and outside of the vehicle, including tires, coolant, oil, lights, gas, etc., before the shuttle bus leaves on any route.
- Maintains a clean, pleasant, and calm environment inside the shuttle (including but not limited to, windows rolled up, company approved audio/video playing, interior lights on, no air freshener spraying, no items on the dashboard, and no food on shuttle)
- Complies with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations and requirements governing, including Department of Transportation posted speed limits and laws at all times
- Ensure all passengers/congregants are wearing seatbelts
- Complies with all uniform and Professional Appearance guidelines
- Maintain a weekly passenger log and report it to the Transportation Manager
- Responsible for assuring the shuttle is clean, removing trash, vacuuming the interior, and washing the exterior if needed at the completion of each route weekly

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 to 5 Years of previous driver and/or customer service experience
- Clear driving record as reported by the Department of Transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be at least 25 years old per guidelines from the church’s insurance carrier
- Ability to transport 16+ Passengers in a single route, 100+ miles per route
- Currently holds all applicable licenses on badges as required by governing authorities to operate a commercial vehicle, including a valid driver’s license, CDL, P-Endorsement, and DOT Medical Card
- Ability to promptly follow and carry out directives from Transportation management
- Ability to effectively communicate with all passengers
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and create a welcoming environment for all passengers
- Must have a flexible schedule (specifically on Sundays) and be open to last minute changes
